The ϲʲͼ is a member of the Michigan Higher Education Recruitment Consortium to assist dual career couples in finding employment opportunities at other colleges and universities in the region.

Founded in 1877 by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), ϲʲͼ is Michigan's largest and most comprehensive Catholic university. In 1990, University of ϲʲͼ consolidated with Mercy College of ϲʲͼ, which was founded in 1941 by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, to form ϲʲͼ. (See more University history.)
